Although this engine offers average horsepower, it can tow up to 2,000 pounds which is more than the Nissan Rogue, the Toyota RAV4, the Honda CR-V, or the Mazda CX-5.  It also delivers impressive fuel economy ratings, especially on the highway where it averages 7.6 L per 100 km. 

You can also opt for a more powerful version of the 2022 Kia Sportage which is powered by a 2 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine delivers exceptional accelerations while also averaging around 10 litres per 100 km which is quite efficient given the level of power you have under your right foot.
