The 2023 Kia Sportage PHEV will arrive this fall with a starting price of $44,995

The 2023 Kia Sportage lineup has been completely redesigned this year and among the many changes made to the popular compact SUV from Kia, we find the addition of a new plug-in hybrid version. The new Sportage PHEV joins the fifth-generation Sportage which has been made more dynamic, more connected, and safer than ever before. The new Sportage is also more spacious with class-leading legroom and a lot more cargo space.

All of this and more will be offered in the new Kia Sportage PHEV which will go on sale this fall. Kia confirmed today a starting price of just $44,995 for the new Sportage PHEV, while the SX AWD AWD model will start at $48,395.

The 2023 Kia Sportage PHEV is powered by a 1.6 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired to an electric motor which features 66.9 kilowatts of power. A 13.8-kWh lithium-ion battery powers the electric motor and offers up to 55 kilometres of all-electric range. A combined fuel consumption rating of 6.7 L per 100 km is also promised with the new Sportage.

This engine will deliver 261 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, ensuring exceptional accelerations to go with the impressive efficiency.
